Regal Royal Blue Wedding Card

By Cards

Hi all,

Quite a while back I purchased this Imperial Jewel rubber cling stamp from Stampendous and absolutely loved how massive of a stamp it is. It’s easily a stamp that can be used to create a big ornate background, or an image that can be stamped and colored in (like a coloring book of sorts).

I decided to give it a more regal look by using Glam Gold embossing powder on a navy blue background. It looks so classy!

I then used a ‘hand written’ sentiment by Altenew and finished off the card.

Just look at all that detail in this card. It measures a bit larger than a standard size at 5.5in by 5.5in.

Such a beauty! These would also make a fabulous wedding invitation card in the same scheme.wedding-card-2

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed! Have a fabulous day.

It’s a Good Day – Velveteen Stamping

By Cards

CS4_participantHi all,

I am LOVING this online class and have another project to share using a technique called velveteen stamping. It’s a type of double stamping where you stamp a solid background image ( I used white on white for my card) and then stamp directly on top of that using a pigment ink (I used floral stamps and Hero Arts Shadow Ink). I am fascinated by this technique and love the concept of a textured stamped image.

Here’s how my first attempts at this technique turned out. You can see the technique predominantly in the butterfly & larger floral pedals.
