I gave it a fresh coat of paint, some new fabrics and drapes &amp; changed out containers to better suite the space. Throughout the process,\u00a0I&#8217;ve been trying to find unique pieces to create storage. I&#8217;m a huge fan of thrift store finds and was on the lookout for some\u00a0pieces for my space or future projects!<\/p>\n<p>I found two items on 2 different occasions.<\/p>\n<p>First, I found an old ornate looking shelf. \\\\click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.joliesamuel.com\/\/thrifting-treasures\/\">here <\/a>to read that post\\\\<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.joliesamuel.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/ComboShot.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1717\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joliesamuel.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/ComboShot.jpg\" alt=\"ComboShot\" width=\"625\" height=\"415\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A few months later, I found a box that looked alot like a letter type box or a configuration box. I&#8217;m not entirely sure what its intended purpose was.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1709\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joliesamuel.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/ThriftStore_WashiTape.jpg\" alt=\"ThriftStore_WashiTape\" width=\"625\" height=\"415\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I designed a Christmas configuration box a while ago and thought maybe this piece could function in a similar way. \\\\Click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.joliesamuel.com\/\/craft-fair-configuration-box\/\">here <\/a>to view the configuration box I made for Christmas.\\\\<\/p>\n<p>As I was reorganizing this week, I figured it was time to get this piece painted. I grabbed a can of my all time favorite spray paint by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/280719-American-Accents-Heirloom-12-Ounce\/dp\/B00KZ6M39A\/ref=sr_1_1?s=hi&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1444966791&amp;sr=1-1&amp;keywords=american+accents+heirloom+white\">American Accents <\/a>and gave the piece a couple coats of spray paint. Immediately I thought of a FANTASTIC purpose for the piece. &#8220;I wonder if this would fit a roll of tape,&#8221; I thought.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1715\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joliesamuel.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/WashiTape-Finished5.jpg\" alt=\"WashiTape-Finished5\" width=\"425\" height=\"603\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Guess what? It totally does! These tapes used to take up 3 jars in my space. How crazy is that?!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1716\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joliesamuel.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/WashiTape-Finished6.jpg\" alt=\"WashiTape-Finished6\" width=\"425\" height=\"603\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Oh, my crafty heart!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1704\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joliesamuel.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Both-Units.jpg\" alt=\"Both-Units\" width=\"625\" height=\"415\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I decided to pair the piece up with my other shelf.<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t believe how fantastic\u00a0these two pieces turned out! Seriously friends, if you haven&#8217;t checked out your local thrift store for some awesome storage finds&#8230;you should!
