I created the background using distress inks and ended up loving the painting so much that I created duplicates!<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1796 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joliesamuel.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/WatercolorSentiment2.jpg\" alt=\"WatercolorSentiment2\" width=\"858\" height=\"570\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I heat embossed a snowflake design on some and left others with a simple sentiment.\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1795 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joliesamuel.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/WatercolorSentiment1.jpg\" alt=\"WatercolorSentiment1\" width=\"858\" height=\"570\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Next, I went for a more classic theme. Here I have an illustrated image that I lightly colored using the same distress inks.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1797 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joliesamuel.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Winterscape1.jpg\" alt=\"Winterscape1\" width=\"858\" height=\"570\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To add some shimmer and shine, I used a glitter brush on the roof of the church and on the trees. I tried to captuer this as best as possible in the photo.
