The Blog Box

By Craftroom Storage, Room Decor

Hi Everyone,

I love homemade gifts. I love creative gifts. I love things that help me craft or blog. When all 3 of these ideas blend together – I am in HEAVEN.

My amazingly creative and beautiful friend Dayle Dracy, fellow blogger at Eat Things Make Stuff, gifted me this super creative gift. She calls it “The Blog Box”. Basically it’s a box with a bunch of items that can help you’re creative flow or cure blogger frustrations. I thought the idea was SO creative and loved reading the individual notes added to each item. It’s like a personalized gift basket of awesomeness!

Here’s the outside with a peak of the contents.

Here’s the fun items she included in this box for my blog.

The notes read:

“For when you’re feeling motivated”

“When you have too much to do”

“When your site crashes”

“When you need to reward yourself for an awesome post”

“When you need a little motivation”

When you feel like procrastinatingggggg”

Love it all! Thanks Dayle for an amazing gift and such a creative idea on a holiday gift for a fellow blogger. You rock!

Birthday Surprise Box

By Cards, Room Decor

Hi all,

How about something a little different than a card today? For today’s project I’d like to show you a variation on a card…it’s a birthday box! This box in particular was made with a recipient in mind. A friend had asked that I create a box that could contain a small birthday gift and a birthday message. I asked what type of color scheme the recipient would like and was given this color scheme. This box is 100% handmade and then decorated using my stash of all things crafty. The papers are from a DCWV 8×8 paper pack. The flowers and embellishments are just a variety of products from K & Co., Prima, and Basic Grey.

Here is the exterior of the box. It measures approximately 5″L x 5″ Wx 4″H. Although it looks like an ordinary box, the sides have been removed. Once the lid is removed from the box, the four walls collapse and create a bit of a surprise!

Close up of the lid embellishments created with Basic Grey chipboard stickers, Prima flowers and a metallic button brad. VERY dimensional =)

And here is the inside of the box. Once the lid is removed, the four walls collapse and create this visual. Super fun, elegant and colorful.
