Holiday Cards 2014 – Day 11

Hi all,

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend & are ready for the home stretch to the holiday card series!

For today’s card I used a beautiful gold foil embossed bird pattern as my background and quality card stock for the banner to create my sentiment. The sentiment was heat embossed using gold embossing powder and reads “Wishing you were near so I’m sending Holiday Cheer.” To accent the banner and give it some extra ‘pop’ of color I added a gold metallic band to the top and bottom of the purple piece. I must say, this card has some major SHINE factor in person (I tried my best to interpret that in the photo). This one will definitely be a design I send out in the mail this year!

Card stock: Neenah environmental card stock in desert storm

Papers: My Minds Eye – Lost & Found Christmas, Thomaspaul – gold foil

Stamp: Simon Says Stamp – Merry Everything

Heat Embossing: Versamark clear, Inkadinkado – glam gold, heat gun

Marker: Metallic Marker by American Crafts in Gold (62221)

Holiday Cards 2014 – Day 9

Welcome to day 9!

There are so many reason’s to be thankful during the holiday season. This card merges somewhat of a non-traditional sentiment with a holiday color scheme. The sentiment was heat embossed on white vellum (double layered) and has a little tree hidden behind it. I love the use of vellum on this card because it allows for so much to happen behind it rather than just block off the entire area.

Seasons Greetings_Batteries and Blessings

Hi All,

Lately I have had a quite a few friends ask me if I could come up with some funnier Christmas cards. Today I have one that may qualify for the techy people in your life. On the exterior this card looks like any other classy christmas card.

But the inside reveals your sincerest of holiday wishes for the recipient. =)

In all honesty the interior can be customized to any sentiment. I just liked this one thought I’d pop it on this card for fun! ha!
