Happy Birthday 2 U!

By Cards

Hi all,

How about a dimensional card today? This card is loaded with layers and textures. I wanted to play up the stamp and create a visual impact by using negative space for the stamp. I’ll admit there were many failed attempts on this card. For those of you that are crafters – DO NOT use glossy accents on images colored with stamp markers until those markers are absolutely 100% dry. I speak from experience (SO MANY SMUDGES!).

Valentine’s Day Series – Day 8

Hi All,

For today’s card I wanted to try using my Martha Stewart Circle Cutter to come up with an embellishment that would be the focal point of the entire card. I found a great sentiment stamp that came with my Simon Says Stamp card kit for January 2013 that worked great for the circle. Here is the finished product.

2.14 Geometric Shapes – Valentine’s Day Series

Hi all,

Today is day 3 of the Valentine’s day card series. For today’s card I wanted to try using some geometric shapes to create the main focal area. I also wanted to test out a few of my circle cutting tools to create these shapes. I used a textured cardstock as the base and added the shapes cut from a My Minds Eye paper stack. I also some felt embellishment from American Crafts and Thickers.
