DIY Room Decor – Fabric Heart Garland (Part 2)

By Room Decor

CloseUpShot

Hello all,

I’m back with a continuation to my post about creating heart garlands. I’ve been experimenting with other fabric designs and am absolutely amazed with how each one turned out. I especially love the bright colors hanging on the jute twine. There’s something so “anthropologie” about it (yes, I love most decor from that store)!

Another way to use these dies is to cut felt instead of fabric. I think felt would be just as pretty but would give a completely different vibe.

Take a look at these combos and tell me which one is your favorite. I’d love to hear from you.

Stripes with florals – swoon!

Love the corals and teals mixed with pea green and rustic orange!

Polka dots and twine anyone?

I love that craft supplies can be so versatile and don’t always have to be used with just paper or be confined to envelopes and books. Try searching through your supplies and double-purposing an item ~ let your creative mind free!

Have a great day friends.

DIY Room Decor – Fabric Heart Garland

By Room Decor

HeartBanner_Blog
Hi all,
I’m here today to share a very quick and easy project for some extra pizzaz to a room. Nowadays, many craft stores and home decor stores carry small fabric squares. Typically they can be found in a bundle of coordinating colors and designs. I happened to have a set and thought it’d put it to use but keep in mind that really any type of fabric works, and if you don’t have fabric – try felt!

Here’s a quick video on how I created this beauty.

You can create this same look at home using a stencil or template. For your convenience, I’ve created a FREE download for you to use. Simply click the button below.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope I’ve inspired you to create something DIY and handmade for your space!

Hi all,

Today’s bonus was pretty awesome! I loved taking a peek into other blogs to see what others are working on. For today’s card I decided to revisit the concept of “blank space” and create a card that had a large visual impact without too many elements.

Here it is! Enjoy!

Valentine’s Day Series – Day 5

By Cards

Happy Friday!

Welcome to Day 5 of my Valentine’s Day Card Series. I hope you all have enjoyed the first week of cards and felt inspired. For today’s card I wanted to attempt a  single layer card. Single layer cards are great in that they are potentially the easiest to send through the mail without having to buy extra postage due to weight or size. I think I came really close but then I felt as if something was missing and added the dimensional heart. Luckily it is made of a thin felt material and doesn’t have much bulk to it.
