Holiday Cards 2014 – Day 12

By Cards

Hi all,

Happy Monday! BONUS CARD DAY!

nutcrackers

These cheesy grinning nutcrackers are on a white vellum background that is double layered to make a more of an opaque background. The sentiment is heat embossed using a starlight silver embossing powder. Each nutcracker features gold glittered elements for added interest and coordinates with the others. And for some added interest I included a red and white rolled twine.

Supplies:

Card Base: Bazzil Frost White

Vellum: Paper Place white vellum

Stamp: TPC Studio

Embossing Ink: Versamark Clear with Inkadinkado Starlight Silver embossing powder

Twine: Craft Basics – Red/White

Nutcrackers: Meri Meri with added embellishments

Holiday Cards 2014 – Day 11

By Cards

Hi all,

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend & are ready for the home stretch to the holiday card series!

holiday_cheer

For today’s card I used a beautiful gold foil embossed bird pattern as my background and quality card stock for the banner to create my sentiment. The sentiment was heat embossed using gold embossing powder and reads “Wishing you were near so I’m sending Holiday Cheer.” To accent the banner and give it some extra ‘pop’ of color I added a gold metallic band to the top and bottom of the purple piece. I must say, this card has some major SHINE factor in person (I tried my best to interpret that in the photo). This one will definitely be a design I send out in the mail this year!

Supplies:

Card stock: Neenah environmental card stock in desert storm

Papers: My Minds Eye – Lost & Found Christmas, Thomaspaul – gold foil

Stamp: Simon Says Stamp – Merry Everything

Heat Embossing: Versamark clear, Inkadinkado – glam gold, heat gun

Marker: Metallic Marker by American Crafts in Gold (62221)

Misc: Adhesives & Tape Runner

Holiday Cards 2014 – Day 5

By Cards

Hi all,

Happy Monday! I’m back with Day 5 of Holiday Cards!

christmas_snowman

Today’s card was created using some wood veneer snowflakes, wood grain dry embossed papers & a magical snowman. I used the 2 tones of woodgrain to create a simple snowbank for the snowman to sit on. To give the snow a bit more dimension it was watercolored with a very light shade of blue. How decked out is this snowman!? I think he’s pretty spectacular! Honestly, this just might be my favorite card yet!

More fun and crafts coming for you tomorrow. See you then!

Supplies:

Cardstock: Paper Place Light Brown and White Dry Embossed Woodgrain

Snowflakes: Studio Calico Wood Veneer

Misc: Snowman, Light Blue watercolor, adhesives & Christmas sentiment
