Hello Floral Gold Foil Note Cards

By Cards, Planner Stationary & Accessories

Hi All,

Welcome back! This is the last of the note card series and I’m so pleased that you have enjoyed keeping up with each days post! It’s truly become difficult for me to pick and choose which set is my favorite. There are so many different elements on each card that I really do love.

These cards are a set of 4.25″ x 5.5″ standard size note cards. They are on a kraft 80lb card stock and have a thickness which makes them perfect for mailing and gifting – they are light weight! I love how the pattern switches up a traditional floral color scheme. Notice how the flower is more monotone than the background? I love that! It’s so unexpected in a design.

I separated the pattern with a kraft and gold foil stripe and gave each note card a simple ‘hello’ greeting.

Here’s a closer look.

Thanks so much for visiting and I’ll see you again real soon with an all new card series!

Gold Foil Floral Note Cards

By Cards, Planner Stationary & Accessories

Hi All,

Welcome back! I’m on that summertime floral kick once more! Here’s a card using a similar pink and yellow themed floral but with a slight change. The black brush strokes are now replaced with whimsical little hearts – did you notice?! This pattern is typically not something I would gravitate towards, but the use of lots of white space and those fun little hearts made it incredibly fun to work with.

For this card, I broke out a 6×6 pad of kraft papers that I have and gold foiled some stripes on to it. I then trimmed down those pieces to give my card what I like to call ‘suspenders’! Just below those suspenders (lol) I have a gorgeous embossed floral that I used on the base of my card. I feel like it resembles white lace on this project. Very classy indeed!

Here’s a peek at the interior of the card as well.

Hope you enjoyed reading about my latest card and I will be back tomorrow with another project!

Kraft Envelopes For Party Favors

By Planner Stationary & Accessories

Set2

Hi all,

So it seems that wedding season and times of formal parties all happen during the summer. Today I wanted to create a little project to embellish the thought of party favor bags.

To start I grabbed a roll of my favorite kraft paper and cut several (hundred) dies of this bag template. It included score marks which made it easier to figure out where to fold every flap.

How darling is the bag itself!? To embellish them I have several of these doily type adhesive embellishments in my stash. I slowly separated them out to create bundles of envelopes to package up.

Here they are ready to go. They can be used with the gusset, which makes them stand up on their own. Or they can be used flat if you pinch the bottom.

I’m so in love with all things kraft and white so you bet I’ll be making many more of these in the near future!

Doily Banner Notecards

Hi all,

It’s no secret that in the craft world everyday items become the foundation to create something new. Today, I’m taking fancy lace like papers we use to dress our desserts to create a set of notecards. Now, I didn’t actually use the paper version for a doily, but rather a set of images from a stamp set. A while back I purchased a couple of gorgeous stamp sets from My Minds Eye that included a couple of doily images that I thought would make the perfect foundation for a set of notecards. When I purchased these sets, I immediately knew how I wanted to purpose those specific stamps.

I used my favorite blank onyx ink and stamped the doily images as the foundation for the cards. Next, I layered on dimensional die-cuts of another set of doilies. Yes, doilys on top of doilys. Too busy? Absolutely not. By keeping the base black and neutral, the die-cuts are grounded to something – otherwise they’d just look like they are ‘floating’ in the middle of the page.

Next, I used a woodgrain banner stamp and grabbed a few of my favorite spring ink colors from Hero Arts. The key was to not add too much color. Keep it simple.

To finish off the cards I added some details (stripes, borders, and a few extra woodgrain lines) using a black gel pen.

I love that these cards are so simple but have multiple layered images to create a beautiful visual impact.
