Valentine’s Day Mini’s – Hearts & Twine

By Cards

Hi all,

I’m back from a long weekend away and wanted to get back right into the groove of things and post up some Valentine’s Day card ideas for those of you looking to create (or buy) something simple. I’ve created these cards that I will post up on Etsy! I debated if I wanted to  make something colorful and thought it would be a nice change to simplify some cards down a bit. Nowadays, it seems that cards are so colorful and bright and over-the-top. Sometimes, it’s a nice change to mute things down a bit.

There are 4 different designs (3 featured here in the picture) with window cut outs for the image and the sentiment. Inside there is a “to” and “from” section for a quick note.

The cards measure approximately 2.5″ x 2.25″ and the windows were cut out using my silhouette cutting machine. The machine is such a great accessory for quick easy to duplicate cards.

Hi all,

Today’s bonus was pretty awesome! I loved taking a peek into other blogs to see what others are working on. For today’s card I decided to revisit the concept of “blank space” and create a card that had a large visual impact without too many elements.

Here it is! Enjoy!

XOXO Banner Card – Valentine’s Day Card Series

By Cards

XOXO

Hi all,

Happy New Year! I’m back from my holiday hiatus and ready to get cracking on more cards. I want to get a head start on making valentine’s day cards. Today I have the first of several cards for my Valentine’s Day series. These cards will soon be available to you via my Etsy store. Please stay tuned for the announcement regarding the official opening of the store!

For this card, I used material that was already in my stash. I am absolutely in love with woodgrain cardstock from Simon Says Stamp that I used as the mat for this card. Also, I used some papers from My Minds Eye Love Me collection and love the quality of those papers. I finished off with pink and white twine.

Thanks for stopping by and see you next time with card 2 of the series.
