Hello Note Cards Floral Series No.4

By Cards, Planner Stationary & Accessories

Hi All,

I’m back with another set of notecards. You may immediately notice that the ‘hello’ is different compared to previous days. I felt that this pattern looked far more elegant with a stamped sentiment instead of a die-cut one. The floral pattern is once again printed on a gorgeous matte vellum. It’s incredibly vibrant! The card base is also matted and in a darker kraft/brown shade than previous cards as well.

Here’s a closer look!

The cards measure 4.25″ x 5.5″ and have a side fold as well.

Mother’s Day Postage Stamp Greeting Card

By Cards

mothersdaypostagestamp

Hi all,

I’m back with an all new mother’s day card to share. For this card, I wanted to create a postage stamp as the main focal point of the card. At first I thought I wondered how I could find a postage stamp large enough to feature, then I realized how simple it could be to create one in silhouette studio.

To break things down think of the postage stamp as a rectangle and the edge is created by welding in a row of circles. I added in some various sizes of words for the sentiment and a beautiful die-cut of roses.

Here’s a closeup of those roses – look at all that sparkle!

Doily Banner Notecards

By Room Decor

Hi all,

It’s no secret that in the craft world everyday items become the foundation to create something new. Today, I’m taking fancy lace like papers we use to dress our desserts to create a set of notecards. Now, I didn’t actually use the paper version for a doily, but rather a set of images from a stamp set. A while back I purchased a couple of gorgeous stamp sets from My Minds Eye that included a couple of doily images that I thought would make the perfect foundation for a set of notecards. When I purchased these sets, I immediately knew how I wanted to purpose those specific stamps.

I used my favorite blank onyx ink and stamped the doily images as the foundation for the cards. Next, I layered on dimensional die-cuts of another set of doilies. Yes, doilys on top of doilys. Too busy? Absolutely not. By keeping the base black and neutral, the die-cuts are grounded to something – otherwise they’d just look like they are ‘floating’ in the middle of the page.

Next, I used a woodgrain banner stamp and grabbed a few of my favorite spring ink colors from Hero Arts. The key was to not add too much color. Keep it simple.

To finish off the cards I added some details (stripes, borders, and a few extra woodgrain lines) using a black gel pen.

I love that these cards are so simple but have multiple layered images to create a beautiful visual impact.

Regal Royal Blue Wedding Card

By Cards

Hi all,

Quite a while back I purchased this Imperial Jewel rubber cling stamp from Stampendous and absolutely loved how massive of a stamp it is. It’s easily a stamp that can be used to create a big ornate background, or an image that can be stamped and colored in (like a coloring book of sorts).

I decided to give it a more regal look by using Glam Gold embossing powder on a navy blue background. It looks so classy!

I then used a ‘hand written’ sentiment by Altenew and finished off the card.

Just look at all that detail in this card. It measures a bit larger than a standard size at 5.5in by 5.5in.

Such a beauty! These would also make a fabulous wedding invitation card in the same scheme.wedding-card-2
