Valentine’s Day Series – Day 7

By Cards

Hi All,

Today’s card derived from one of my favorite places …..my monthly card kit from Simon Says Stamp. I love receiving these kits as a way to get inspired and check out some of the latest and greatest in products without having to drop down the cash to buy in full packs. The little puppy is part of 1 sheet of Beef Broth patterned paper by Jillibean Soup. They are quality cardstock with such fun sentiments.

Here is today’s card:

Valentine’s Day Series – Day 5

By Cards

Happy Friday!

Welcome to Day 5 of my Valentine’s Day Card Series. I hope you all have enjoyed the first week of cards and felt inspired. For today’s card I wanted to attempt a  single layer card. Single layer cards are great in that they are potentially the easiest to send through the mail without having to buy extra postage due to weight or size. I think I came really close but then I felt as if something was missing and added the dimensional heart. Luckily it is made of a thin felt material and doesn’t have much bulk to it.

Just For You

Supplies: Card Base : Hero Arts Note Card – Neutrals

Heart Stamps : Making Memories – Love Struck

Sentiment: Inkadinkado – Caring Words

Inking: Ink Blending Tool & Tim Holtz Distress Ink – fire brick

Eyelets: Making Memories 1/8″ Metallics

White Border: Uniball Signo Broad Gel Pen & Bic Velocity Gel 0.7

Corner Rounding: We are Memory Keepers Corner Chomper

Valentine’s Day – I “Heart” You

By Cards

Hi all,

For today’s card I wanted to come u with a non-traditional route to valentine’s day. I used a slightly different color scheme than the typical valentine’s day card would and added in grays, blues, and greens. The sentiment simply reads I “heart” you. The finished product is an elegant take on Valentine’s Day =).

I Heart You

Supplies:

Card Base: American Crafts Textured Cardstock

Papers: K & Co. and DCWV

Embellishments: Martha Stewart Gemstones, Thickers, K & Co Border Stickers

Heart: Silhouette Studio SVG cut
