Online Card Class – Day 4

By Cards

onlinecardclass

Hi all,

I’m now on day 4 of Online card classes and today’s card is one of my all time favs! Today’s challenge was to create a card that dominates in negative space, but still makes a statement. I absolutely loved Kristina Werner‘s take on the challenge – this girl gives me so much inspiration. Anyhow, I used her concept to create today’s card.

Here it is!

Online Card Class – Day 5

Hi all,

We so we’ve officially completed a week of online card class and I think it was jam packed with awesomeness. Today’s focus was on stretching stamps in a way that is a little different then it’s initial use or changing the center focus of the stamp. I decided to look into my Christmas stamps and see if any of them could double for something else. The wreath here is from my Christmas Sentiments stamp set, but with a change in color – it looks very bright.

Here is my card:

KW Class - Spring Has Sprung

Supplies:

Card Base: Neenah Environmental Cardstock Desert Storm

Paper: Hero Hues Notecard, Neenah and Cream Vellum by Slice

Inks: Colorbox- Chestnut Roan, American Crafts Stamp markers

Embossing: Dry embossing – Cuttlebug folder, wreath embossing – Zing Leaf

Hi all,

We are on to week 2 of online card class and I am anxiously waiting to see what is in store for the week. Today’s cards were so creative and inspiring in theme. For homework the designers asked that we use one of their outlined sketches to create our card. I used Kristina Werner’s sketch and came up with my design.

Here’s my contribution for day 6

Hi all,

We are on to day 7 of our online card class. Today’s theme was single layer cards made clean and simple. I absolutely loved the cards posted by Julie Ebersole. Prior to this class I hadn’t really known her as a designer, but I am truly inspired by her creations and character. Her card had so much dimension and layers using ink, but no bulk.  Amazing! For today’s card I took the theme of masking and inking to create my card.

Here it is!
