Valentine’s Day – I “Heart” You

By Cards

Hi all,

For today’s card I wanted to come u with a non-traditional route to valentine’s day. I used a slightly different color scheme than the typical valentine’s day card would and added in grays, blues, and greens. The sentiment simply reads I “heart” you. The finished product is an elegant take on Valentine’s Day =).

I Heart You

Thankful Heart – Valentine’s Day Series

By Cards

With All My Heart

Hi all,

Welcome to Day 4 of my Valentine’s Day Card Series. I’m having so much fun experimenting with all my supplies and creating more cards for you each day. I’m really trying to use up my stash with minimal waste. I guess that’s the beauty in card making – you can find inspiration from even the tiniest bit of material. For this card, I wanted to break out some stamps and really concentrate on a CAS (create a sentiment) card. I liked the concept of Valentine’s Day, but I wanted it to also double as a card that could be used any time of year. I think this card suits the bill really well. Telling someone you’re thankful is good to do year round, don’t wait for a special occasion on that!

Thanks so much for stopping by and see you again next time.

2.14 Geometric Shapes – Valentine’s Day Series

Hi all,

Today is day 3 of the Valentine’s day card series. For today’s card I wanted to try using some geometric shapes to create the main focal area. I also wanted to test out a few of my circle cutting tools to create these shapes. I used a textured cardstock as the base and added the shapes cut from a My Minds Eye paper stack. I also some felt embellishment from American Crafts and Thickers.

Damask Embossed Card with Felt Flowers – Valentine’s Day Card Series

By Cards

Two Hearts

Hi all!

Welcome to Day 2 of the Valentine’s Day series. For today’s card, I wanted to create a matching set to the card I created yesterday. I think the damask “tone on tone” image adds a certain elegance to the card. In my opinion, the picture really doesn’t do the card enough justice. The embossing of the cardstock completely adds dimension without adding bulk. For the embellishment, I used some felt stitched hearts and rhinestones.

This card will be available on etsy for purchase. Feel free to check out the store for other products as well.
