XOXO Banner Card – Valentine’s Day Card Series

By Cards

XOXO

Hi all,

Happy New Year! I’m back from my holiday hiatus and ready to get cracking on more cards. I want to get a head start on making valentine’s day cards. Today I have the first of several cards for my Valentine’s Day series. These cards will soon be available to you via my Etsy store. Please stay tuned for the announcement regarding the official opening of the store!

For this card, I used material that was already in my stash. I am absolutely in love with woodgrain cardstock from Simon Says Stamp that I used as the mat for this card. Also, I used some papers from My Minds Eye Love Me collection and love the quality of those papers. I finished off with pink and white twine.

Thanks for stopping by and see you next time with card 2 of the series.

Hi all,

It’s Christmas EVE! Can you believe it? I am so excited for this upcoming holiday season to begin. I wish each and every one of my readers a very Merry Christmas & hope you have a wonderful holiday with your loved ones. But before I go on my holiday hiatus, I want to share the last of my gift card holders. I love this paper stack I’ve been using for the card series from DCWV. The designs are so subtle yet the perfect touch to these designs. The sentiment is a free SVG from SVGcuts.com.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!

Hi all,

We’re on to card 3 of the series and I have to say that I am truly enjoying making each one of these. They are so simple to make since they are done on SCAL2.

We’re on to card 3 of the series and I have to say that I am truly enjoying making each one of these. They are so simple to make since they are done on SCAL2. SVGCuts has been a phenomenal discovery for me to work with. Today’s gift card holder was made for a male recipient. I used a decorative red snowflake pattern on the back to make it look like a colorful tissue paper was added. I also split up the front into several different designed layers. I love the way that worked out since some of the pieces were scraps of the previous projects. But nothing about this bag says “leftover”. My husband loved the detailing in the faux stitching and stated that it made a great accent. Overall, again I’m very happy with the turn out on this project.

Supplies:

Cardstock: DCWV Christmas Combo Stack & Holiday Collection Stack (for bag), K & Company (Winter Wonderland Sentiment)
Ribbon: Sold-By-Spool Ribbon (AC Moore)
Pen: White Gel Pen

The Giftbag & Sentiment were cut from SVGCuts.com free SVGS – They were then put into SCAL for editing.

This is card 2 in my mini-series of holiday gift card holders. Both the bag and the Joy sentiment come from the free SVG’s files from SVGCuts.com. The papers are from DCWV stack and is great material to use with the die cutting machine. It cuts crisp and clean. I think it will be a go-to brand when it comes to my svg files. As you may notice I have a ribbon attached to the handle of the bag. The ribbon is attached so I can hang it from our christmas tree with ease. I love the way this came together. So beautiful these pictures really don’t do them enough justice.
