Holiday Cards 2014 – Day 8

By Cards

Hi all,

Welcome to Day 8 featuring a holiday presents garland via papers from Basic Grey.

presents_garland

I’ve got to say I absolutely LOVE this card for the quality of materials it incorporates. The red card base is such a nice thick material that is super sturdy and can be handled roughly in the mail but still maintain it’s structure. The banner is popped up on dimensional on a wood grain background that is so subtle you may even miss it if you look too quickly. Also, notice how the garland is actually stitched together!? So many little details…this is truly a card that was a wow-factor in person.

Supplies:

Card Base: Simon Says Stamp Card Stock

Wood grain: Paper Place white woodgrain

Presents garland: Basic Grey

Misc: white gel pen and adhesives

Holiday Cards 2014 – Day 7

Hi all,

I’ve a snowman trio and another circle card for you today!

snowman_trio

This card came together rather quickly and is easy to mass produce. The snowman trio is an element that I purchased while on Thanksgiving break in Houston, Texas. As soon as I saw them I knew they’d make for a great card!

The coordinating papers are from American Crafts Merrymint collection & were cut using silhouette studio. This cutting machine of mine is really paying for itself this season. It makes for some quick and easy to assemble cards.

Here’s how I put this one together once I had all the pieces:

Supplies:

Card base: Neenah Desert Storm Environmental Cardstock

Patterned papers: American Crafts Merrymint 6×6 collection

Misc: White gel pen, Snowman trio embellishment

Hi All,

I’m back with a new card & video for you!

Today’s card features some quick digital cuts made on my silhouette sd cutting machine. This type of card is a prime example of a card that takes more time to conceptualize then actually create. Once the cuts were made, it all came together so quickly!

Here’s how I made it:

Supplies:

Cardstock: Neenah Desert Storm Environmental Cardstock and Bazzil frost white

Snowflake: American Crafts 6×6 holiday stack

Misc: Tag, banner and brown pen

Holiday Cards 2014 – Day 5

By Cards

Hi all,

Happy Monday! I’m back with Day 5 of Holiday Cards!

christmas_snowman

Today’s card was created using some wood veneer snowflakes, wood grain dry embossed papers & a magical snowman. I used the 2 tones of woodgrain to create a simple snowbank for the snowman to sit on. To give the snow a bit more dimension it was watercolored with a very light shade of blue. How decked out is this snowman!? I think he’s pretty spectacular! Honestly, this just might be my favorite card yet!

More fun and crafts coming for you tomorrow. See you then!

Supplies:

Cardstock: Paper Place Light Brown and White Dry Embossed Woodgrain

Snowflakes: Studio Calico Wood Veneer

Misc: Snowman, Light Blue watercolor, adhesives & Christmas sentiment
