Online Card Class – Day 3

By Cards

onlinecardclass

Hi all,

We’re now on day 3 of clean & simple card making hosted over at onlinecardclasses.Today’s theme was to try and use stamps and inks in a repeating pattern, a “stamped off” pattern, or paper piecing. I really wanted to try the paper piecing technique and see what combination I could come up with for a card.

Here is my take on day 3’s challenge:

KW Class - Thank You

Supplies:

Card Base: Hero Hues Notecard – Neutrals

Stamp: Hampton Arts and Hero Arts Sentiment

Hi all,

For Day 2 masculine card I used the uneven strips of paper again (because I didn’t have vellum to try the true technique). I like the simplicity, and that it reads straight forward.

See ya tomorrow =)

His&Hers Day 2 (Feminine Card)

Hi all,

We are on to day 2 of His&Hers and today’s classes were just jam packed with great inspiration. Ideally, I’d love to try all the techniques shared today, but for starters I wanted to try using 1 collection of paper (from my Simon Says Stamp card kit) to create both masculine and feminine cards. One of the guest designers of the class shared a technique in using vellum and cut them into uneven strips. Unfortunately, I do not have ANY vellum in my stash, but I did have some great papers that I wanted to layer together for a birthday card.

Here it is!

Surprise Happy Birthday

For today’s Masculine card I wanted to create a cards using “Thinking of you” as a sentiment and products that would stretch to both of projects. For both cards I used Embossing folders, washi tape, my circle cutter and papers from My Minds Eye.

Stamps: Studio G : Thinking of You/ Miss You So

Card 2: Thinking of You
